Tod’s Point Sailing School, a local nonprofit community organization, will open for their fourth season on Saturday, May 24 and will operate daily through Labor Day.
They have a great group of returning US Sailing certified sailing instructors and support staff composed of local high school and returning college students.
To date, the program has served 1,042 Junior Sailors, 382 Adult Sailors, provided 3,286 hours of Boat Rentals and 329 hours of Private Sailing Lessons.

According to sailing school director Bill King, Memorial Day Weekend will feature sailboat and paddlecraft rentals along with private sailing instruction.
Reservations can be made in advance. Our fleet consists of Zests, Quests, Catamarans, Kayaks and Paddleboards. Rentals and Private Lessons will be available daily through Labor Day.
Scheduled classes begin June 1st and include a variety of classes for Juniors and Adults.
Junior classes are scheduled on weekdays with two-week Core courses and one week Just for Fun courses. There are four progressive levels of Core courses, Sailing One through Sailing Four. Just For Fun courses cover various activities including Paddling, Catamarans, Racing and a Tera Bites course for our youngest sailors ages 8 – 9.
Adult courses are held on weekends although we do offer a few Adult weekday classes in June. Adult core classes run for two consecutive weekends each and are also progressive starting with Basic Sailing designed for first time sailors and then moving up through Intermediate Sailing and Advanced Sailing. Adult Family courses are one weekend courses and include Catamaran Sailing and Paddling.
