No. 299 owner Jackie Weihs-Fucigna has opened her third retail location. With other retail shops in Fairfield and New Canaan, Ms Weihs-Fucigna said she was thrilled to be back where it all started – her hometown of Old Greenwich.
Situated in a charming, newly renovated home behind the Kaia Yoga studio, the small shop has the No. 299 stamp, offering highly curated with goods “for the home and her” that you don’t see everywhere else.

“I would say there are a couple of things that set us apart from other home decor and gift shops,” Weihs-Fucigna said. “I love to rework the shop displays using my vintage finds, creating a unique and curated vibe that makes the shops feel special and inspiring.”
“But I would also say our price points are called out time and time again,” she added.
As a savvy shopper herself, Jackie works hard to source goods that have refreshing price points.
Back in 2010, a germ of an idea began with quarterly sales in her 2-car garage.
Having moved on from her public relations career in New York City, and not one to enjoy idle time, Weihs-Fucigna was looking for a creative outlet.
Four times a year she tricked out her garage and turned it into a boutique, selling her rehabbed furniture and specialty vintage finds.
This quickly took off, and in 2013, she moved from the garage to an official retail space in downtown Fairfield.
From there, she opened a shop in New Canaan in 2021.
And now, in Old Greenwich, her newest No. 299 shop brings her full circle.

Often asked about the store name, Ms Weihs-Fucigna explained it was the her house address back when she opened the boutique in her garage.
She has since moved to another home in Fairfield because, on the side she is also a serial house renovator. Check out her recent renovation project @thisisninetyone.
As one of five growing up in Old Greenwich, she attended the Old Greenwich School, Eastern Junior High, and Greenwich High School.
When she was 12 + 13, she took her turn in the sibling lineup delivering the Greenwich Time on her bike, sometimes stopping at Curry’s to grab a 25-cent candy bar with her tip money. In high school, she moved on to working at the hardware store, which back then was called Sterling Watts more often referred to as Wattsies.
“I have always worked as far back as I can remember,” Weihs-Fucigna said. “I am just not good at sitting down, and I love to put my creative energies to work. My past life in public relations was the perfect training for owning my own business, as both require me to wear many hats on a daily basis. But there is nothing like working for yourself. It’s been my favorite job to date.”
