FERRARO: Supporting Rachel Khanna for Securing Glenville Corridor Funding

Submitted by Pam Ferraro, Glenville

As a longtime resident of Glenville (in Greenwich), I’ve experienced both the benefits and challenges of our community’s growth. For years, traffic safety and congestion have been major concerns, especially along the Glenville Corridor. I’m incredibly grateful for Rachel Khanna’s work in securing $6.5 million in state funding for the much-needed improvements to this vital area of our town.

The upgrades to the Glenville Corridor will address longstanding issues with traffic flow and safety. With thousands of vehicles passing through daily, the improvements—such as better traffic signal coordination, enhanced intersections, and dedicated turn lanes—will significantly reduce congestion and make our streets safer for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists. These enhancements are vital for improving both safety and the quality of life in our neighborhood.

Rachel’s efforts to revive this project after it had been stalled for years highlight her commitment to the community and her effectiveness as a leader. Her ability to bring funding to such a critical project demonstrates her understanding of local issues and her determination to find solutions. In addition to the Glenville Corridor, she has secured funding for several other important initiatives in Greenwich, showing her dedication to improving the town as a whole.

I fully support Rachel Khanna for her continued leadership and vision, and I hope others will recognize the tremendous impact she has had on Glenville and beyond.

Sincerely,
Pam Ferraro, Glenville
