Popular Annual Event at Tod’s Point,” Experience the Sound,” Returns on June 23

The Greenwich Shellfish Commission will present its “Experience The Sound” event on Sunday, June 23 from 1:00 pm to 4:00pm at Tod’s Point.

The theme is “From Streams through Soil to the Sea.”

The event coincides with the Bruce Museum Seaside Center’s seasonal opening.

You can board boats at the Yacht Club Docks and check them out: The Stella Mar Oyster Boat, a Greenwich Police Marine Division Boat and a clam boat.

Greenwich Community Sailing is in full swing with sailing instruction, sailboat and paddle board rentals.

And, back by popular demand, is the free raw bar and edible seaweed from The Kelp Farm.

There will be more family fun including face painting and caricatures.

There will be an oyster boat, Greenwich police boat and a SoundWaters schooner at the yacht club docks, and Tod’s Point Sailing School will provide sailing instruction, kayak rentals and paddleboarding.

At the Old Greenwich Yacht Club location, commercial Shellfishermen will “host” a (free) raw bar of clams and oysters harvested from local waters StellaMar’s Oyster Boat.

Also stop by the Town of Greenwich Police Boat, which used by the Greenwich Police Marine section to provide law enforcement and emergency services on Greenwich’s 31 miles of coastline.

And the Atlantic Clam Farms Shellfish barge will be moored at the OGYC dock for visitors to check out.
