Originating in Spain, the word “empanar” means to wrap in dough in Spanish and Portuguese. Today, over 30 countries put their own regional spin on empanadas.
These dough wrapped meat, cheese, or fruit pockets are a staple in many cultures with varying names from meat pies to pasties. Jackie’s empanadas are filled with with her own unique recipes celebrating her Argentinean heritage. With over a dozen available types of empanadas ranging from steak to gluten free to vegan, Empanadas on the Go offers the perfect way to celebrate National Empanada Day.
An active mother of five, Jackie understands the challenges of feeding a busy household. Empanadas offer a quick and nutritious way to provide a hearty meal or healthy snack. As Jackie’s business grew, so did her menu. In addition to her selection of regular-sized empanadas, she offers a smaller size popular for gatherings and make the ideal social distance appetizer.

Jackie’s mission extends beyond keeping New York and Connecticut area families stocked with empanadas; she also works to fight hunger back in her home country of Argentina. With every bite of Jackie’s Empanadas, she donates a percentage to local charities and supports CONIN del Viso, a program in Buenos Aires that fights infant malnutrition.
