Greenwich High School Ranked 7th in CT by US News & World Report

More than 24,000 US public high schools and 207 Connecticut schools were included in the US News & World Report rankings for 2020.

US News & World Report says that they take a holistic approach to evaluating schools, focusing on college readiness, reading and math proficiency, reading and math performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rates.

Greenwich High School, with an enrollment of 2,654 and a student teacher ratio of 12:1, was ranked the 7th top high school in Connecticut.

• #1 Connecticut IB Academy in East Hartford. All students take International Baccalaureate coursework and exams.

The total minority enrollment is 71%, and 39% of students are economically disadvantaged.

The total minority enrollment is 14%, and 3% of students are economically disadvantaged.

• #3 Darien High School
The total minority enrollment is 12%, and 2% of students are economically disadvantaged.

• #4 Staples High School (Westport)
The total minority enrollment is 15%, and 4% of students are economically disadvantaged

• #5 New Canaan High School
The total minority enrollment is 14%, and 0% of students are economically disadvantaged

• #6 Simsbury High School
The total minority enrollment is 20%, and 9% of students are economically disadvantaged.

• #7 Greenwich High School
– The total minority enrollment is 34%, and 15% of students are economically disadvantaged.

• #8 Hall High School (West Hartford)
The total minority enrollment is 39%, and 16% of students are economically disadvantaged.

• #9 Ridgefield High School
The total minority enrollment is 16%, and 1% of students are economically disadvantaged.

• #10 Marine Science Magnet High School of Southeastern
The total minority enrollment is 28%, and 17% of students are economically disadvantaged.
