Police Seek Tips after Young Adult was Robbed in Riverside Commons Parking Lot

Greenwich Police on Monday reported that on Sunday evening they received a report of a young adult who said he was robbed by two males in the Thruway Shopping Center parking lot (1233 E. Putnam Ave in Riverside) at approximately at 5:30pm. 

The suspects approached the victim as he was getting into his vehicle.  The males exited their vehicle and cornered the victim demanding him to give them his property. 

The victim was able to stall the suspects.  The victim did have his cellphone and credit card taken by the suspects. 

No one was physical hurt in this incident. 

The suspects mentioned a weapon but none was displayed.  The suspects were described as two black males approximately 5’7” tall. 

A third suspect never exited the car. 

This incident took place in the parking lot closer to East Putnam Ave, South of the CVS. 

An investigation is being conducted by the GPD Detective Division.
