Byram Dispute over Parking Results in Breach of Peace Arrest

Greenwich Police responded to a report of an altercation at 77 North Water Street at about 4:00pm on Jan 24.

After interviewing all parties involved it was determined that the issue stemmed from a parking dispute where Carlos Barrenechea, 48, or 88 North Water Street,  was illegally parking at a private business establishment. According to Police, after engaging in a verbal dispute with the building owner, Barrenechea put his vehicle in gear and nearly ran over the business owner.

Mr. Barrenechea was issued a misdemeanor summons for Operating a Motor Vehicle other than Motorcycle Without License 1st Offense and Breach of Peace 2nd degree, and is scheduled to appear at Stamford court on February 1st 2016.
