ISD Announces Details for Greenwich Color Challenge 2023

The International School at Dundee (ISD) in partnership with the school’s Parent Teacher Association announced that

Registration is now open for International School at Dundee 6th annual Greenwich Color Challenge fun run and obstacle course.

The much anticipated, community-wide event will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 – rain or shine – beginning at 9:00am at 55 Florence Road in Riverside.

The Greenwich Color Challenge is a color fun run that includes a 1.25-mile run/walk and obstacle course including 10+ obstacle stations and six color powder stations where participants are “dusted” with safe, non-toxic, washable color. And those who prefer to skip the color can simply run around the stations. It is a wonderful celebration of color, friends, family and fun where everyone gets decked out in their most colorful accessories and comes ready to run, walk, jump, dodge, duck, laugh and have a great time! Once runners reach the finish line and receive their ribbons, the fun continues with a variety of games, food and prizes.

“The Greenwich Color Challenge is one of our most coveted annual events at ISD as it encourages silliness and fun while also raising proceeds that will 100% go towards educational enrichment programs for the students of our school,” stated Bey-Shan Liu, Co-President, ISD PTA. “Last year was the first time we were back in person after a brief virtual hiatus, and more than 1,000 people from all over Greenwich participated, which made for a super successful live event and we look forward to continuing that momentum in 2023!”

“The Greenwich Color Challenge is one of our most coveted events at the International School at Dundee, inspired by the Indian festival of Holi where communities unite to throw vibrantly colored powders into the streets and onto each other in celebration of Spring,” said Bey-Shan Liu, President, ISD PTA in a release, adding that 100% of the proceeds from this popular fun run go directly toward educational programming for all students in our school.

“More than 1,000 people from across Greenwich participated last year and we look forward to continuing that momentum in 2023,” she added.

Tickets are available now at GreenwichColorChallenge.org through Sunday, March 26 for $40 per person (ages 5 age over).

The race fee includes a race pack with a t-shirt, sunglasses and string bag – while supplies last – however, everyone is encouraged to dress in their silliest attire, such has tutus, wacky socks, rainbow wigs and much more.

Kids 4 and under can participate for free, but will not receive a race pack. All schools in town have a discount that may be found in their respective school newsletters for use.
