Greenwich Students Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists

The NMSC, a not-for-profit organization established in 1955, honors the nation’s scholastic champions who exemplify academic excellence.

Of the more than 1.5 million eligible high school juniors who entered the program only 16,000, or one percent, have been nationally recognized as Semifinalists.

High school juniors enter the program through participation in the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying test which was offered in October.

The Semifinalists will advance onto the Finalist and Winner rounds which will be announced in March 2023.

Below are the Greenwich High School, Greenwich Academy and Sacred Heart students recognized for PSAT/NMSQT. They will now have the opportunity to continue in the competition for 7,250 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million that will be offered in the spring.
