Greenwich Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Toni Jones announced that Scott Trungadi has been appointed educational data & systems program coordinator, effective July 13. He replaces Jennifer Lau, who recently retired.
This unique position sits at the intersection of digital systems management, educational research, and data analytics. Mr. Trungadi will partner with the superintendent and cabinet members to serve as an architect for educational data systems, ensuring seamless digital operations, while empowering administrators with the data literacy needed to drive student success and operational efficiency.
“Mr. Scott Trungadi is known to be a technically savvy leader who understands the importance of managing all of the instructional platforms utilized across the district with precision and with data integrity at the highest level,” Dr. Jones said. “This position can be fast paced and Scott understands how to balance numerous competing needs, while staying calm under pressure working on a wide range of essential projects.”
Since 2015, Trungadi has been a beloved assistant principal at Central Middle School where he was the administration designee for Planning and Placement Teams (PPT), the site test coordinator for all standardized assessments, led building level Social Emotional Learning initiatives, and served as the Aspen administrator responsible for building the master schedule for students and teachers.
Prior to his time at Greenwich Public Schools, Trungadi worked at Manchester Public Schools, first as a classroom teacher in Keeney Street Elementary School and then as a technology integration specialist in Bennet Academy.
“My goal in this role is to ensure our district data systems serve as a supportive foundation for our school administrators, teachers, students, and families,” Trungadi said. “By focusing on practical, user-friendly tools and collaborative training, we can ensure student data is clear, accessible, and immediately useful in the classroom. This position provides a vital opportunity to partner closely with building administrators and the district team to align our operational systems with daily instructional needs. Ultimately, streamlining these resources allows us to maximize efficiency and give our educators more time to focus on the growth and success of every student at GPS.”
Trungadi holds a bachelor’s degree in Design and Technical Theatre from the University of Connecticut, a masters in Elementary Education from Sacred Heart University, and a Sixth Year professional diploma in Educational Leadership from Southern Connecticut State University.
