Greenwich Juvenile Pulled over for Speeding was in Stolen Car

On March 30, around 3:30am, Greenwich Police stopped a speeding car on the Post Road near Mead Ave in Cos Cob.

Investigation revealed that the car, occupied by two juveniles, was stolen out of Stamford.

Further, what was believed to be proceeds of motor vehicle break ins was discovered within the car.

The driver of the car, 16, was positively identified as a town resident.

During his interview with police the teen said he had entered several vehicles in Stamford prior to stealing the car.

The value of the stolen car was approximately $1,500.

The juvenile was charged with Interfering with an Officer/Resisting Arrest, Larceny 6 and Larceny 3.

He has a date in Bridgeport Juvenile Court on April 16, 2021.
