The new Central Middle School project is a two-phase 21-acre campus project. The new school building is being constructed in phase one, with the building slated to open to students and staff in
August 2026. This is the twelfth construction project bulletin. It serves as a high-level update on the developments happening at the CMS construction site this month.
As a reminder, the project is an active construction site and public access is prohibited.
Under Greenwich’s noise ordinance, Turner Construction may work past 6:00pm, by monitoring and complying with residential decibel limits at property lines.
Note: The Town approved an exemption from May 1 – September 30, 2026 to allow construction on Saturdays and Holidays from 7:00am – 6:00pm.
March Look-Back
● Continued interior finishes, flooring, and millwork and work at the second‐floor classroom pods
● Completed painting and ceiling installation on the first‐floor level
● Delivered and placed kitchen equipment
● Removed scaffolding at the auditorium
● Began installation of theatrical equipment on the stage
● Continued site utilities work
● Installed light pole bases
● Substantially completed masonry for the exterior façade
● Continued installation of FCP at the exterior façade
