Wrong Place, Wrong Time. Greenwich Man Arrested for Outstanding Warrant

While conducting an unrelated investigation on Woodland Drive on Sunday, Greenwich Police officer discovered that Joshua A. Benyard, 25, of 1056 King Street, Greenwich, was wanted on an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant stated that Benyard failed to appear at an assigned date in March 2014 at Stamford Superior Court pursuant to a motor vehicle summons issued in Greenwich in November 2013.

Benyard was placed under arrest and charged with Failure to Appear 2nd Degree.  He was assigned a court date of Nov. 23 at Stamford Superior Court. Unable to post his $2,500 cash bond, Benyard was detained at Greenwich Police station.
