Two Pedestrians, Both Juveniles, Struck by Vehicles on Field Point Rd

On Sunday Greenwich Police Deputy Chief Mark Zuccerella released news of an incident involving motor vehicles and pedestrians in the area of 38 Field Point Road, which is the address associated with Chabad Greenwich.

Field Point Rd between Dayton Ave and West Elm St was temporarily closed due to the incident, which involved three pedestrians – one adult and two juveniles.

Preliminary investigation revealed  that the pedestrians were attempting to cross Field Point Road outside and south of the marked crosswalk at West Elm Street.

The two juveniles were subsequently struck by two vehicles resulting in injuries. Both juveniles were transported to local hospitals.

One of the vehicle operators was also transported to the hospital for an evaluation.

As of 11:30am, the roadway was reopened for normal traffic flow.

Deputy Chief Zuccerella said no further information was available and that the injuries sustained were not life threatening.
