Trio Charged with Larceny after Shoplifting Incident at Apple Store

On July 19 Greenwich Police responded to the area of Greenwich Avenue on a report of a shoplifting incident involving several individuals.

An employee of the Apple Store contact police about a shoplifting incident and provided a description of three suspect who were spotted getting into a vehicle and were subsequently stopped by police.

During the course of the investigation police discovered that Trent Dance, 18, of Brooklyn was in possession of stolen items and had acted in concert with Marcus Ramirez, 37, also of Brooklyn and a youthful offender, 17.

The total amount of items stolen was $1140. According to GPD Captain Mark Zuccerella, the trio stole Apple brand styluses.

Police also determined that Mr. Dance drove a motor vehicle without a valid license.

he was charged with Larceny 4, Operating Motor Vehicle without License and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny.

His bond was set at $1,000, which he was able to post. He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Aug 13, 2021.

Police say Mr. Ramirez was in possession of stolen items and acted in concert with Dance and the juvenile.

Ramirez led officers on a short foot pursuit before he was taken into custody. For that he was charged with Interfering with an Officer in addition to Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 4 and Larceny 4.

Ramirez also posted $1,000 bond and shares a date in court with Mr. Dance.

The third person, the juvenile, was in the car when police stopped it. Police determined she stole numerous items from the Apple Store. She was charged with Larceny 5 and Conspiracy (Misdemeanor B) and has a date in Bridgeport Juvenile Court on Aug 13, 2021.
