The Fire Dept said companies made an aggressive attack on the fire and confined it to the roof area.

“Thankfully there were no injuries to any occupants or firefighters,” the Fire Dept said in their Facebook post.

The fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal Division.

“Our thoughts go out to the residents of this home on Thanksgiving,” the Fire Dept added.

The previous night, Wednesday, crews responded to a fire in Glenville. Greenwich Fire Dept said in a post on Facebook that crews arrived to a well advanced fire in the attic of a two-story wood framed single family dwelling and worked quickly to ventilate the roof from above and access the fire in the attic through the ceiling from the second floor.

The Fire Dept said the fire was brought under control with three hand lines. Fire damage was contained to the attic and roof structure. There were no injuries reported to either the occupants or firefighters. The fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshals Division.
