Suspect Arrested by Warrant for 2023 Organized Retail Theft

Greenwich Police caught up with a of Mount Vernon, NY man wanted for Organized Retail Theft in an incident in Greenwich stemming back to September 2023.

Police say Shaborn Smith, now 35, was at the Orange County Correctional Facility in Goshen, NY, when they extradited him on a felony warrant.

Smith was charged with numerous Felony crimes: Organized Retail Theft $10,000+, Conspiracy to Commit Organized Retail Theft, Criminal Mischief 1, Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Mischief 1, Larceny 1 and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 1.

Smith remained in police custody on a $750,000 bond.

He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on July 1, 2024.

Previously, in Sept 2023, he was extradited from Westchester County Jail to answer for charges stemming from a “Grab and Run” Larceny investigation initiated in June 2023. The incident took place on June 19 in the area of Greenwich Avenue. At that point his bond was set at $150,000.
