Stamford Teen Charged after Crashing Stolen Car on Harding Rd

On Thursday, Sept 6 Greenwich Police arrested a youthful offender, 17, from Stamford following a crash on Harding Road in Old Greenwich.

Around 2:15 on Thursday, Greenwich Police responded to a car crash on Harding Rd where the driver had fled. A short time later, officers located the driver, identified as a juvenile male.

Police say the car he was driving was stolen from Stamford. The juvenile later admitted that he had been driving the car and did not have a driver’s license.

He was charged with Larceny 1, Evading Responsibility, Failure to Drive in Proper Lane, and No License. He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Sept 19, 2018.
