In a Facebook post they announced they had seized “heavy weaponry” and ammunition during their early-morning raid.
During the search, detectives recovered:
• Glock “41” .45 caliber handgun with a high-capacity magazine (13 rounds)
• “Switch / Auto Sear” installed, converting the Glock into a fully automatic weapon
• (Extremely dangerous as it allows the firearm to discharge multiple rounds with a single trigger pull, increasing the risk of mass casualties)
• Palmetto State Armory AR-15 rifle with a high-capacity magazine (high-capacity magazines allow rapid, sustained gunfire, posing a significant threat to public and officer safety)
• Additional 33 rounds (.45 caliber) and 30 rounds (6.8mm)
• Camouflage-colored body armor
Stamford Police arrested Quinnel Gines, 35 and charged him with:
• (2) Possession of Assault Weapon
• (2) Illegal Transfer of a Firearm
• (2) Illegal Possession of High-Capacity Magazine
• Possession of Firearm Enhancement
• Interfering with a Search Warrant
His bond was set at $150,000. The Serious Firearm Offense requires 30% cash bond.
He was assigned a court date on Sept 9, 2025
Stamford Police said the arrest highlighted the serious danger posed by illegal firearms and modifications.
“Our continued efforts aim to keep Stamford safe by removing these weapons from our community,” they wrote in their post.
