Stamford Polcie Charge Brooklyn Man in Armed Home Invasion

Stamford Police announced that on Wednesday their detectives traveled to Rikers Island and arrested Kenneth Stewart, 25, of Brooklyn, NY for an armed home invasion that occurred Sept 29, 2025 on Greenwood Hill Street, near Government Center.

Mr. Stewart was transported to Stamford police headquarters and charged with Risk of Injury to a Minor, Criminal Attempt at Unlawful Restraint, Burglary 1st degree, and Home Invasion. A $1,000,000 bond was set by the court.

Mr. Stewart was held and arraigned in Stamford Superior Court on Thursday.

Stewart is the last of four individuals that have been charged in relation to the incident.

Detectives were actively working with numerous agencies to locate Stewart at the time of his arrest, but he was ultimately located by NYPD on April 6, 2026  for a bus fare evasion and detained pending extradition.

Stamford Police thanked the NYPD and federal partners for their efforts in the case and Detective Kerilyn Whitehead for her persistence in the pursuit of all offenders.
