Stamford Man Who Spent $10K on Employer’s Credit Card Faces Multiple Charges in Greenwich

Greenwich Police arrested a Stamford man on an outstanding warrant on April 20.

Police say Douglas Montrel Clemons, 35, was wanted for 8 counts of Receipt from Illegal Use of Credit Card and Larceny 2 after he allegedly used a credit card issued by his employer and completed at least 8 separate transactions totaling over $10,000 in personal items.

The incident stems back to Jan 2, 2021.

Clemons was held on $75,000 bond, which he was unable to post.

He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on May 12, 2021.
