Stamford Man Charged with Violating Protective Order after Emailing Victim

On Feb 9, a Stamford man turned himself in to Greenwich Police on an outstanding warrant for Violation of Protective Order.

Police say that back on Nov 29, 2020 Greenwich Police were dispatched to an address in Old Greenwich on a report of a violation of protective order.

Investigation revealed that James A Caputo, 43, sent numerous emails to the victim that violated an active protective order.

An application from Greenwich Police for an arrest warrant was approved by a judge on Dec 1, 2020.

Caputo was released from custody and assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court the following day, Feb 10, 2021.
