Second Person Charged with Practicing Law without a License in Greenwich

On March 13 a Farmington, CT woman responded to Greenwich Police headquarters on an active arrest warrant.

Lisa Nkonoki, 59, was charged with Practicing Law without a License and Criminal Attempt Larceny 1 for an incident stemming back to October 17, 2017 on Lower Cross Road in Greenwich.

Police say a surety bail bond agent posted the $250,000 surety bond for Nkonoki.

Nkonoki was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on March 28, 2022.

According to the criminal information summary the case number was the same that involved a Florida man who was also charged last week with Practicing law without a License in Greenwich. Police say the arrest warrant for Maurice Hatcher Norris, 72, of Lecanto, Florida, stemmed from a financial crime investigation initiated in 2018. According to the Criminal Information Summary, the incident took place on Lower Cross Rd in Greenwich back in October of 2017. Bond for Mr. Norris was set at $50,000, which he was able to post. He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on March 21, 2022.
