Riverside Man Charged with Animal Cruelty

On Aug 16 a Riverside man turned herself in at Greenwich Police headquarters on an outstanding warrant for Cruelty to Animals.

Police say Yong Sung Kim, 67, of Bonwit Rd was arrested after Animal Control investigated a case of alleged malnourishment.

According to Greenwich Police the incident stems back to July 10.

Captain mark Zuccerella said Mr. Kim had three dogs he was trying to give away because he was unable to care for them.

“He waited until the dogs were well past the ability of a vet to treat them,” Zuccerella said.

Mr. Kim has a date in Stamford Superior Court on August 24.

He posted the required 10% of his $25,000 court set bond and was released.
