Greenwich Police arrested an Ozone Park, NY man on June 30 for an incident stemming back to January 25.
Yao Qi Wu, 29, faces dozens of class D felony charges for alleged financial crimes involving use of stolen credit card information to purchase gift cards at 122 Post Road in Cos Cob, the address associated with CVS.
On June 30, Mr. Wu surrendered to Greenwich Police on an outstanding arrest warrant.
He was charged with Conspiracy to Commit commit/ Scan/Render with Intention to Use (§ 53-388a(f), which prohibits possessing a scanning device or reencoder under circumstances that indicate an intent to use it in the commission of certain violations, such as creating fraudulent credit card information); Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 5, Conspiracy to Commit/Illegal Possession Personal ID Info Device; Conspiracy to Commit/Illegal Take Payment card (24 counts); Conspiracy to Commit > $500 on Revoked Payment Card (24 counts); Conspiracy to Commit/Receipt from Illegal Use Credit Card (24 counts); Conspiracy to Commit Identity Theft 3 (24 counts); Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Impersonation (24 counts).
His bond was set at $1,000,000, which he was unable to post.
He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on July 14, 2025.
