ON Sunday around 12:45am Troopers from CT State Police Troop G responded to a report of a pedestrian walking on I-95 northbound near exit 8 in the City of Stamford.
According to State Police, as the pedestrian was crossing the highway, Vehicle #1, when a semi-trailer truck, driven by an Ossining, NY man was heading north in the right lane of three when the incident took place. The truck driver was not injured.
The pedestrian was transported to Stamford Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
No vehicles were towed from the scene. The roadway was dry, traffic was moderate.
The pedestrian remains unidentified until his identity can be confirmed by the CT Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Pending positive identification, next of kin will be notified.
