Multiple Charges for Woman Who Sped Away from Police after Crash

On the evening of March 30 a Stamford woman responded to Greenwich Police headquarters on an outstanding arrest warrant stemming from an incident in the area of Hamilton Ave and Artic Street in Chickahominy on March 16.

Police say the driver, Cindy Palmeri, 57, was unable to maintain a proper lane of travel and crashed her car. Further that she failed to stop when a police officer signaled for her to stop and fled at a high rate of speed.

Palmeri was arrested and charged with Driving Under Suspension, Speeding, Disobeying Signal of Officer, Engaging Police in Pursuit, Failure to Drive in Proper Lane, Failure to Obey Stop Sign and Driving without License.

She has a date in Stamford Superior Court on April 13, 2022. She was released after posting her $25,000 bond with the help of a bondsman.
