Multiple Charges for Driver Who Sped through Stop Sign at Exit 2

On August 10 around 2:00am Greenwich Police spotted a white Ford F-150 with combination registration traveling south at a high rate of speed on Frontage Rd near exit 2 of I-95.

Officers were able to stop the vehicle on Delavan Ave after it failed to stop at a clearly posted stop sign at the end of the exit ramp.

During their investigation officers determined that the accused, Andres Santiago Ovalle Amador, 24, of Bridgeport was showing signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment.

Mr. Amador was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard and was arrested.

He was charged with Driving an Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Driving under Suspension, DUI, and Failure to Obey Stop Sign.

Mr. Amador was unable to post his $300 bond and was placed in a cell at police headquarters.

He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Aug 26, 2024.
