Multiple Charges for Driver Sleeping in Idling Car in Riverside

Around 4:00am on Saturday Greenwich Police spotted a vehicle parked with its engine running near the intersection of Halsey Drive and Marshall Street in Riverside.

Police observed a driver who appeared to be asleep in the car.

Police say driver, Jason Ceneus, 24, of New Rochelle, NY, had red glassy eyes and the odor of alcoholic beverages. He was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard and was also found to have a suspended license.

Further investigation revealed Ceneus was in possession of marijuana and a metallic grinder.

He was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana under 1/2 oz, as well as Driving without a License and DUI.

He was unable to post his $2,500 cash bond and placed in cell #2.He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Feb 24, 2020.
