Multiple Charges for Driver Clocked Traveling 55MPH on East Putnam Ave

On Sunday around 1:30am Greenwich police spotted a car traveling west on Putnam Ave at a speed of 55mph in a posted 35 mph zone and cross over the center double yellow line.

Police say Randi Urizar-Gonzalez, 32, of Bridgeport, continued west and crossed over the white line on the right shoulder multiple times, almost striking the curb twice.

A motor vehicle stop was conducted and while speaking with the accused, the odor of alcoholic beverages was detected.

Police say Mr. Urizar-Gonzalez was also slurring his words and had bloodshot eyes, and did not possess a driver’s license.

Urizar-Gonzalez was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard. He was charged with Operating without License, Failure to Drive in Proper Lane, DUI and Speeding.

His bond was set at $250 which e was able to post. He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Dec 2, 2019.
