Men Charged with Stealing Side View Mirrors from Car Dealership

Two men from the Bronx were arrested by Greenwich Police early on Dec 26 for stealing mirrors from cars at a local car dealership.

Around 4:15am police responded to a dealership on West Putnam Ave on a report of suspicious people in the parking lot. Police discovered that numerous vehicles were missing their side view mirrors.

Joshua Mayo, 23, of East 138 street and Hediberto Ridriguez, 21, of Schley Ave, were located in the area and were questioned.

Police say both men tried to mislead police about their identities and purpose for being on the property. The men were charged with Criminal Trespass, Larceny 4 (9 counts), Interfering with an Officer, Criminal Mischief 1 (2 counts), Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 4 (11 counts) and Criminal Attempt Larceny 4 (2 counts).

A small amount of marijuana was also located in Mayo’s possession. He was additionally charged with Possession of Marijuana.

They were each held on $10,000 bond and share a date in Stamford Superior Court on Jan 10, 2020.
