Man Familiar to Greenwich Police Faces Drug Charges, Threatening, Refusing Fingerprinting

On March 1 Greenwich Police arrested a Cos Cob man by warrant stemming from an investigation where the suspect, Kristopher Chimblo, 32, of Harold Street in Cos Cob, allegedly threatened two victims causing them a significant amount of anxiety and fear of physical violence on Feb 28, 2021.

Police also say Chimblo was in possession of a significant amount of suspected cocaine and heroin/fentanyl.

He was charged with Threatening 2 (2 counts), Possession of Narcotics (2 counts), and Possession of Controlled Substance.

Chimblo was able to post his $150,000 bond per the warrant and was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on March 2, 2021.

Police also charged Chimblo with Conspiracy to Commit/Violate Condition of Release 1 and Failure to Comply with Fingerprint Requirements. They say that he had sent the victim a voice message via cell phone in direct violation of the conditions of release from a previous case. He was assigned a $50,000 bond for these charges and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on March 3, 2021.

Chimblo is known to Greenwich Police and has numerous previous arrests.
