Man Charged with Risk of Injury to a Child after Throwing Rock

On Nov 16 around 8:30pm multiple Greenwich Police units responded to Division Street on a report that a rock had been thrown through a window and struck and eight-year-old girl in the chest.

Investigation confirmed that a rock thrown by the suspect, Josue Gonzalez, 19, from Port Chester, broke a first floor window and hit the child.

Police say the reporting party said he knew who had thrown the rock due to recent threats and arguments with Mr. Gonzalez that had to do with speaking with his girlfriend.

Gonzalez, who admitted to throwing the rock, was charged with Risk of Injury to a Child, Criminal Mischief 3, and Reckless Endangerment 2.

Gonzalez was able to post his $500 cash bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Dec 1, 2021.
