Man Charged to Trying to cash Fake Money Order at Post Office

On July 9 Greenwich police responded to the main post office on Valley Drive on a report of an ongoing check fraud.

Officers approached the suspect, who was later identified as Antoine Mable, 27 of W 140th Street in New York City.

Investigation revealed that Mr. Mable attempted to cash a fraudulent Postal Money order for $808.00.

Hewas charged with Larceny 5 and Forgery 1. He was assigned a court date on July 24, 2019 in Stamford Superior Court.

Investigation also revealed that Mr. Mable had an active warrant for his arrest from the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Police Department.

His bond was set at $1,000 which he was unable to post at the time of his arrest.
