Man Charged by GPD after Road Rage Incident in Byram

On Wednesday around 2:30am Greenwich Police responded to a report of a road rage incident in the area of North Water Street and New Street in Byram.

Police say that when they arrived the accused, Lance Worrell, 37, of Norwalk, was uncooperative and entered his vehicle in an attempt to drive way from the scene.

The other party involved related that Worrell had collided with their vehicle and that after the crash he had approached the driver’s side window and began yelling and banging on their window.

Police say Worrell had glossy eyes, was slurring his words, and smelled of alcohol. He was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard.

He was charged with DUI, Unsafe Passing on Left Side and Breach of Peace 2. He was able to post his $300 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on July 14, 2021.
