Man Arrested Faces Multiple Burglary Charges

Orgen Hoxha, 21, of 10 Overlook Terrace in Manhattan was arrested by Greenwich Police on May 23. He faces multiple burglary charges following a call from a homeowner on Clapboard Ridge Rd whose house was ransacked in the overnight hours of Jan 23-24, 2017.

According to Greenwich Police, the homeowner returned to the residence and observed that the door leading to the house was open as she entered her garage.

Police used a number of investigative techniques to identify Mr. Hoxha, including reaching out to other jurisdictions to track him down.

Police were able to connect Hoxha to a number of burglaries, including one on on Clapboard Ridge Rd, one on Chapel Lane, and one on Zaccheus Mead

According to Greenwich Police, on May 23, Hoxha was arrested for unrelated charges in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Subsequently, Greenwich Police traveled to Pennsylvania and extradited Mr. Hoxha back to town.

In addition to the Burglary on Zaccheus Mead Lane in mid country, Hoxha is being considered a suspect for the burglaries on Chapel Lane and Ridge Road.

On May 23, Greenwich Police charged Hoxha with one count of Burglary 3, one count of Criminal Mischief,  and one count of Larceny 3.

“There are other people we would like to talk to,” Nemecek said, adding that investigation continues.

Mr. Hoxha was held on $75,000 bond, which he was unable to post. He was placed in a police cell block.
