On Friday night around 10:30pm Greenwich Police say they were detailed to a residence in central Greenwich for an intoxicated male who was being very aggressive.
Police say that upon arrival officers were met by the victim who stated that the intoxicated male, later identified as Gudmundur Thor Kjaernested, 18, of Greenwich, the arrestee, had struck him in the face.
When police were on scene, police say the suspect refused to listen to their commands, grew more agitated, and shouted obscenities before attempting to physically engage officers and medical personnel.
Kjaernested was arrested and charged with Interfering with Officer/Resisting, Disorderly Conduct and Assault 3.
He was released on a Promise to Appear in Stamford Superior Court on Jan 29, 2024.
