In the early morning hours of Aug 13, Greenwich Police investigated a complaint of a suspicious, possibly stolen vehicle within the Town’s jurisdiction.
Around 3:00am Patrol officers located the car in the area of River Road Extension in Cos Cob and determined it had been stolen out of Stamford.
Police stopped the car and determined the driver was a juvenile, age 15.
The teen, not identified by name due to his/her age, was taken into custody and interviewed in the presence of his/her mother.
During the interview, the juvenile admitted to stealing the vehicle three days earlier, but would not divulge any additional information.
The juvenile was issued a summons for Larceny 1 and referred to Stamford Court Juvenile Matters with a date of August 21, 2018.
