Hit and Run Driver in Chickahominy Arrested by Greenwich Police

Greenwich Police responded to the parking lot of Armstrong Court and investigated a motor vehicle accident in which the offending vehicle fled the scene after damaging two parked cars. The incident occurred on Sept. 6 at about 5:00am.

Investigation on scene revealed that Kevon Williams, 22, of 30-31 Armstrong Court unsafely backed a friend’s vehicle at a high rate of speed, causing it to crash into the side of a parked car that in turn struck a second parked car next to it.

According to Greenwich Police, Williams proceeded to flee the scene without reporting the incident or leaving a note for the owners of the damaged cars. Also, according to Greenwich Police, Williams was operating the car without a valid operators’ license.

Williams was arrested at Greenwich Police headquarters and charged with Evading Responsibility, Unsafe Backing, and Operating Without a License. He was released from Greenwich Police custody after posting a $250 cash bond and assigned a court appearance date of Sept. 14 at Stamford Superior Court.
