Greenwich Police officers responded to a residence in Chickahominy on a report of a physical altercation between a man and a woman.
Investigation revealed that there had been a heated verbal argument that turned physical.

Police said the offender, Kenia Lisseth Guardado-Lainez, 28, of Greenwich, grabbed a knife during the incident and slashed the victim in his face causing a severe laceration.
She was placed under arrest at about 6:45pm and charged with Assault 1 (class B felony) and Disorderly Conduct.
Her bond was set at $100,000, which she was unable to post.
She was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on July 1,
According to the Judicial Branch website Guardado-Lainez was not released from custody and is due back in Court in Stamford on Sept 8, 2025.
