Greenwich Woman Charged in Hit-and-Run on Sound Beach Ave

On Sunday around 8:45pm, numerous Greenwich Police units responded to the intersection of Sound Beach Ave and Webb Ave on a report of a hit and run.

On East Putnam Avenue, Police observed a car that matched the description of the evading car and initiated a stop.

The driver, later identified as Ashley Graff, 29, of 20 Wessels Place in Greenwich admitted to being involved in the crash and appeared to police unsteady on her feet and presenting the odor of alcoholic beverage on her breath. Unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard, she arrested and charged with Evading Responsibility, DUI and Following Too Close.

Her bond was set at $250, which she was able to post. She has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Oct 13, 2017.
