Greenwich Woman Charged for Attempting to Recant 911 Call

A Greenwich w0man was arrested after she allegedly called police to recant her earlier account of an incident involving a 911 call.

Police on March 1 responded to Pemberwick Rd to serve an active arrest warrant on Emily Frances Limpe, 28, that originated from an incident in which Limpe reported an emergency by calling 911 and gave a sworn written statement leading officers to conduct a criminal investigation.

Police said Limpe called GPD on a later date wishing to recant her account of the incident and admitted to falsifying her complaint.

She was charged with False Statement, False Incident Report 2, and Misuse of Emergency 911-False Alarm.

She was able to post the required minimum 7% ($2,100) of her$30,000 bond and assigned a date in Stamford Superior court on March 17, 2025.
