Greenwich Teen Faces Multiple Charges after a Reported 911 Hang Up

On Jan 3 at about 5:00pm, Greenwich Police responded to a residence in western Greenwich for a reported 911 Hang up.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that a dispute had taken place during which the victim sustained injuries. While attempting to investigate the incident further, the suspect, Philip D Maldonado, 18, of 1 Morgan Ave in Greenwich, was uncooperative with officers and subsequently resisted arrest.

While investigating further, officers discovered a green leafy substance consistent with the appearance of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia in the area where the offender had been.

After being placed under arrest Maldonado was charged with Assault 3rd degree, Interfering With an Officer, Disorderly Conduct, Possession of Marijuana Under 1/2 Oz., and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

He was subsequently released on a $2,500 bond and assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Jan. 4
