Greenwich Police: Dozens of Identity Theft and Forgery Charges for Bronx Woman

Greenwich Police arrested a Bronx Woman on July 23 after plainclothes officers observed suspicious activity in a Greenwich Ave retail store.

The suspect was observed attempting to return several items which were stolen in an attempt to defraud the store, resulting in a financial loss.

Further investigation revealed the suspect was in possession of several stolen items, multiple fake identification cards and a pair of shoplifting devices inside her vehicle.

Kia Ngozi Oluremi Bailey, 39, was charged with:

Larceny 3
Criminal Attempt larceny 5
Illegal Possession of Shoplifting Device (2 counts)
Conspiracy to Commit Identity Theft 3rd degree (36 counts)
Forgery 2 (36 counts)

Her bond was set at $250,000 which she was unable to post.

She has a court date on Aug 6, 2025.
