A Norwalk man was arrested by Greenwich Police on Thursday morning after a citizen found him passed out behind the wheel of his running vehicle.
Police said a citizen became concerned about the driver, later identified as Joshua Velez, 24, of Norwalk, Anthony Place in Riverside. After the citizen intervened Velez became combative with him.
When officers arrived their investigation revealed Velez was driving under the influence.
When they took him into custody he refused all testing and fingerprinting.
He was charged with DUI, Failure to Comply with Fingerprint Requests, Interfering with Officer/Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct.
He was unable to post the required 7% of his $500 bond.
He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on June 6, 2024.
