Greenwich Police spotted a vehicle on Delavan Ave that had a canceled registration plate belonging to a different vehicle. After police initiated a motor vehicle stop, the driver failed to comply and entered I-95 at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic, and passing vehicles on the shoulder.
The driver, later identified as Omar Bojadzic, 24, of Stamford, was determined to be the owner of the vehicle after Norwalk Police made a successful motor vehicle stop.
During the investigation it was determined that the unregistered vehicle was not stolen.
Mr. Bojadzic was charged with Operating Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Improper Use Marker/License/Registration, Reckless Driving, Engaging Police in Pursuit, Failure to Comply Pass on Right Rules, and Failure to Drive in Proper Lane.
His bond was set at $1,000, which he was able to post.
Bojadzic was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on March 30, 2026.
