On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at approximately 6:00pm, Troopers from CT State Police Troop G out of Bridgeport were notified by the New York State Police and the Westchester Country Real-Time Crime Center that a black Acura TLX had fled from a motor vehicle stop on I-95 north in New York.
Dispatch advised the vehicle was traveling into the State of Connecticut.
Troopers and Greenwich Police located the vehicle on I-95 north in Greenwich and conducted a motor vehicle stop after successfully boxing the vehicle in.

The driver was identified as Heury Aponte, 23, of Bridgeport. The investigation on scene revealed that Aponte had an active court-issued full no-contact protective order with his passenger.
Aponte was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to Troop G for processing where he was charged with the following violations:
C.G.S. 53a-223* – Violation of Protective Order
C.G.S. 14-147(c) – Improper Use of Registration Plate
C.G.S. 14-36(a) Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid License
Aponte was released after posting a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Stamford Superior Court on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
