Greenwich Man Surrenders to GPD on Warrant for 2019 DUI

On Saturday morning a local man turned himself in to Greenwich Police Dept on an outstanding warrant for DUI.

A warrant for the arrest of Garth Brahaney, 62, of Field Point Drive in Greenwich, stemmed back to a motor vehicle crash on the evening of Nov 24, 2019 on West Putnam Avenue.

Police say Mr. Brahaney was driving a Honda Civic when he hit a large truck.

According to Greenwich Police Lt John Slusarz, often when a person is injured in a crash related to a DUI, the person is taken to the hospital and Police then seek request an arrest warrant from court.

Brahaney’s bond was set at $300, which he was able to post.

He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on March 2, 2020.
