On Dec 25 just before midnight, Greenwich Police arrested a local man, Carlos Jesus Ortiz, 58, at his home by warrant for Sexual Assault 1 and Sexual Assault 2.
Police say the charges stemmed from an incident that had taken place the previous day when Ortiz allegedly assaulted the victim several times while she was unresponsive.
His bond was set at $100,000, which he was unable to post. He was placed in a cell block at the police station and was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Dec 27, 2022.
